Policies

Class Attire:
Class attire is important to keep the focus on
learning, rather than on what each child wears to
class.

Ballet: Black leotard, pink tights (footed or footless)
and pink ballet slippers

Jazz: Black dance pants, any color leotard or tank
top, black jazz shoes.

Tap: Ballet or Jazz style dance clothes, tights or
light- weight socks, black tap shoes.

Modern: Any style dance clothes, footless tights, and
bare feet.

Toddler/Little Movers: Comfortable clothing, skid
resistant socks or bare feet.

Boys: White t-shirt, black sweat pants or leggings.
White or black socks and black ballet slippers, black
tap or black jazz shoes.

Guidelines:
Students are asked to arrive at least 5-10 minutes
prior to class. If entering after class has begun,
please come in quietly and quickly. A dance studio is
a special place and should be treated with respect.
Please talk to your child about the importance of
listening and following instructions. Running or
playing in the studio is not allowed. The common
room is for waiting and playing. Please clean up
before leaving. Please use cubbies for belongings.
In the winter, there will be a place for boots.

All students should use the restrooms before class.
For safety, students need to have their hair brushed
and secured off their face. Ponytails are required for
longer hair. No head-bands allowed. For shorter
hair, please secure bangs.

Policies:
The dance year consist of two 17- week sessions. Each
session cost $330 per class. Students who register
after the first week of classes will pay the pro-rated
price. Registration is ongoing. We follow the Dobbs
Ferry School Calendar. Parent/ child classes are 8
week sessions and are for 35 minutes only. The cost is
$140 per class. Dance-Fit, Adult Dance is dance
movements that exercise your mind and body.
Purchase a 6 class card, dance as little or often - $75.
Introduction to Dance - 2 1/2 yrs- 17 weeks, 30 min.
class - $300.

A deposit of $100 per class is due for pre-registration
prior to the start of each session to insure a space
(except Dance Fit). This is Mandatory. Please make
checks payable to Linton Dance.

Discounts/Balances:
There is a 15% discount for siblings and/or 15% off two
classes. This discount can’t be combined.

deposits are due by June 1st

Fall balances are due by September 1st

Spring deposits are due by December 1st

Spring balances are due by January 2nd

A late fee of $15 will apply to tuition and deposits paid
after the due dates.

All deposits are refundable when classes are dropped
prior to the beginning of the semester. Tuition will only
be refunded if less than 3 classes were taken. Classes
dropped mid semester- or after 3 classes will have a
credit toward classes taking the following semester.
This can’t be transferred to or used by another student
other than the registered student.

Session 1 begins the week of September 8, 2008.
